Smuttynose Brewing Company takes its name from Smuttynose Island, which is part of the Isles of Shoals, a small, rocky archipelago that lies seven miles off the coast of New Hampshire. Brewery tours are offered by appointment. They manufacture a small array of craft beers, with Shoals Pale Ale and Old Brown Dog Ale being the two varieties most widely distributed.
