Storybook Resort Inn

Formerly Best Western

Located on 100 acres in the heart of beautiful Mount Washington Valley, the Storybrook's main building is over 200 years old and was originally a small farmhouse but new rooms were added almost yearly as the original families' size increased. Storybook Resort Inn, located in Glen, has had several additions since, including a 30-room modern motel, but the charm of yesteryear is still very evident in its colonial-style rooms.

Amenities include a private bath, cable TV, air conditioner, clock radio, hair dryer and telephone. The larger deluxe rooms include a mini refrigerator, microwave and patio or balcony as well.

The original homestead farm remained in the family for several generations until it was turned into boarding house for stage coach riders when farming became less lucrative. It was then sold to a lumber company and left vacant for a longtime. Finally it was sold to a California couple and, after extensive remodelling, opened as an inn that has a mix of old and new.
