Founded in 1921, Waukeela Camp for girls is one of the pioneering camps for girls in the U.S. Waukeela is set on 45 acres of pine forest with frontage on beautiful Crystal Lake, in
Carroll County, and on the eastern edge of the
White Mountains. It has been accredited by the New England Division of The American Camping Association with an enrollment of 115 campers of 8-16 years of age and 55-60 staff members.
All staff members and counselors are college age or older, and are chosen for their love of children, ability to teach one or more activities and willingness to work in a close-knit community of their peers.
