Built in 1764, the old farm cape that houses the Crystal Quail restaurant once operated as a post house servicing oxen teams and their drivers moving goods between Laconia and Dover, NH. The restaurant has a verbal menu. Three entrées are offered and usually include their specialty of quail or pheasant, free range veal prepared in a myriad of Continental styles and fresh fish from New England waters. Vegetables come from the extensive organic garden and vegetarian dishes can be made on request. Desserts served are Belgian gateau au chocolate and crème caramel.
