Bivalve is in
Cumberland County, in the
Southern Shore Region, on the west bank of the winding Maurice River. Bivalve is one mile south of Pt. Norris and two miles north of the mouth of the Maurice River Cove, in Delaware Bay.
A tourist attraction at Bivalve is the A.J. Meerwald Tall Ship on the river, and on the opposite side of the river is the Heislerville Wildlife Management Area.
