The Sterling Hill Mining Museum is an underground zinc mine in
Sussex County, open to the public for tours. It represents two centuries of American mining history and technology, mining law, and the earth sciences. Other facilities include outdoor sheltered picnic tables, restroom, and fully stocked gift shop. A minerals shop is attached. The Rock Discovery Center is a field of imported rocks located next to the entrance of the mine.
