Starting in 1900, this is the oldest continuously operating youth camp in the world. YMCA Camp Ralph S. Mason is located in Hardwick Township, Warren County, near the Delaware Water Gap, and adjoining the 72,000 acre National Recreation Area. For the past ten years they hosted nearly a thousand different summer campers. More than 60 different schools and colleges, private and public, used this facility for outdoor programs, group getaways and environmental education.
The camp's 600-acre rustic, wooded, campus offers more than 40 camp buildings for recreation, lodging (dorm style for youth groups), and dining. There are lakes, streams, ball fields, stables, ski trails, playing courts, meeting lodges, and much more. They offer hundreds of miles of hiking trails, and direct access to the Appalachian Trail.
The camp is just an hour and a half drive from New York City (off I-80) and the same from the north Philadelphia suburbs.
