Fort Monmouth is a 1100-acre military installation in
Monmouth County, in the
Shore Region, between
Long Branch and the Garden State Parkway Toll Road. The majority of Fort Monmouth's population is non-military.
Nearby are the towns of Eatontown and Shrewsbury, as well as Old Wharf Park, Monmouth Race Track, Sun Eagles Golf Course and the Shrewsbury River.
