Contrasts between field and woodland, naturalized plantings and formal gardens characterize the 127-acre preserve, which surrounds a historic Colonial Revival mansion that is the headquarters for the Morris County Park Commission. Trees and shrubs are labeled. Two self-guiding trails and a braille nature trail area are available, as well as a guide book. An education center features exhibits. Mansion closed major holidays; pets not permitted. Located opposite the Morris County Library.
