The Hunterdon Hills Playhouse started in 1975 producing their own plays and staging them in local restaurants. In 1979 they purchased the historic Hunterdon Hills Playhouse. In 1980 they moved to their present location, an eighty acre estate in New Jersey's Skylands region where they provide both the theatre performance and dinner service.
