Fairy Tale Forest has been entertaining families with young children since 1957 and still offers the same old fashioned relaxed atmosphere in a country storyland setting. The original creator, Paul Woehle Sr., a German immigrant, started Fairy Tale Forest in 1955 at the age of 40. He spent the first 3 years developing the main facade, which makes up the Castle, surrounding walls and the famous Shoe which stands tall in the town of Oak Ridge.
