Runnells Specialized Hospital of Union County relocated in 1990 to a completely new, state-of-the-art facility. Headed by a physiatrist - a physician specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation - Runnells Rehabilitation Center utilizes an interdisciplinary approach, providing short-term therapy to develop skills which will promote as high a degree of self-reliance as each individual can achieve. The twenty-five-bed unit offers therapy and social services to both inpatients and outpatients.
