Serving the State of New Jersey, the Senator Garrett W Hagedorn Center for Geriatrics provides treatment and rehabilitation for those requiring short term hospitalization for a mental illness. Patients must first complete a primary psychiatric diagnosis to qualify for the intake screening process through community mental health centers and agencies, and the Hagedorn Center Admissions Coordinator. Costs are borne by Medicare, Medicaid, private hospital insurance, private means, etc.
