Northeastern Bergen County is home to part of a very active Interstate Park. The New Jersey section of Palisades Interstate Park is part of the historic sites held up by the Palisades Interstate Park Commission. This section is approximately 13 miles long and about a half a mile wide covering 2,500 acres. In the 2,500 acres there are 30 miles of hiking trails, two public boat basins, a boat launching ramp, four riverfront picnic areas, a nature sanctuary, and much more. The parks and places inside this area are: Fort Lee Historic Park, Hazzard's Launching Ramp, Ross Dock, Allison Park, Englewood Picnic Area, Undercliff Picnic Area, Alpine Picnic Area, the Park Headquarters, Women's Federation Monument, and State Line Lookout.
