Poor Richard's Inn

Search Cape May New Jersey

Poor Richard's, built in 1882, has been run by the same artist/owner/inkeeper, Richard Samuelson, since 1977. The building is a quarter-block from the beach. At Poor Richard's a balance is maintained between today's informality and yesterday's charm, without being pretentious or overbearing. While the rooms are furnished with period pieces, they don't pursue strict Victorian authenticity ... and the prices aren't too outrageous.
