The village of Ridgewood is in Bergen County and is part of the Bergen-Passaic, New Jersey metropolitan area. It is located along State Route 507 near State Highway 17 and the Garden State Parkway. It is situated in the heart of the heavily populated eastern New Jersey area, about fifteen miles from the Hudson River New York border opposite Yonkers. Nearby are Paramus, Wyckoff, Woodcliff Lake, and Fair Lawn.
