Summit Chorale is New Jersey's oldest active choral organization, offering performances of fine choral music from medieval times to today. It is composed of talented non-professional singers, chosen by audition. The mid-size choir of 60-70 singers performs more than just the standard choral literature. The Camerata, usually 15-20 selected by audition from the former on a work-by-work basis, do special selections requiring a smaller group. For major compositions performed with orchestral accompaniment, the Festival Chorus is formed by augmenting the usual mid-size choir with Associate members to a total of as many as 100 singers.
