The submarine USS Ling is moored at the New Jersey Naval Museum as a memorial to those who served aboard US submarines during World War II
Franklin Delano Roosevelt. The museum includes a pictorial history of the development of the submarine from 1900 to the nuclear age, including uniforms, medals, a two-man periscope and models of Navy vessels and aircraft. Guided 30-minute tours are available.
Featured exhibits here include one of only two existing Japanese Kaiten type II suicide submarines, as well as a German 2-man Seehund midget submarine.
