Espanola is in Rio Arriba County, and in the North Central New Mexico region. You can find Espanola just north of Santa Fe between Los Alamos and Taos along US Highway 84 on the banks of the Rio Grande River near Santa Cruz Lake. Espanola economy: The major employers in the area are: Los Alamos National Laboratory, State of New Mexico, Wal-Mart, Espanola Public Schools, City of Espanola, county of rio Arriba.
