Hatch

Hatch is in Dona Ana County, and in the Southwest New Mexico region. The northernmost incorporated community in Doa Ana County, the Village of Hatch has a population of 1,500 people,most of whom work in the fertile fields of the surrounding Hatch Valley. The area produces the world-famous Hatch chile and is home to the annual Hatch Chile Festival, which draws thousands to the village, located just west of the banks of the Rio Grande. Hatch is located 37 miles north of Las Cruces via Interstate 25. Hatch is part of the Las Cruces, New Mexico metro area.
