Ballet Theatre's repertory has grown to include a richly varied selection of pieces including the great 18th and 19th century classical ballets as well as contemporary masterpieces of today that show off the expertise and versatility of individual dancers. Its academy is a training school for classical ballet students, offering a complete curriculum of ballet technique, broadened by classes in related fields. The ballet syllabus is based on classical Russian technique and is enhanced by 20th century dance forms and ideas.
