Comments: I booked a cabin at the Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs a month in advance, to celebrate my 50th birthday. I traveled all the way from San Francisco, California, arrived on time, and was told that my cabin had been given to a "regular who spends a lot of money here", who didn't have reservation but decided to stay over. They arranged for me to stay at a funky motel on the highway, at my expense. It was very hard to enjoy the amenities after this, and anyone from out of town should avoid coming here as you are likely to be left out in the cold by unscrupulous management.
