Pueblo Pintado is in
McKinley County, and in the
Northwest New Mexico region. You can find Pueblo Pintado at the junction of Highways 509 and 197, and west of
Santa Fe.
Pueblo Pintado is massive stone buildings built by the Chacoan Anasazi in A. D. 1060 and reoccupied by Mesa Verdeans in the thirteenth century.
