I'ts located just northeast of Taos between Taos and the Colorado state line along Highway 38 near the Rio Grande River. Situated within the Carson National Forest. Recreation is a high point when it comes to the town of Red River. Hiking is always a healthful activity, but around Red River, it is also spectacular. There are 138 miles of well-marked trails within our beautiful valley. You can also enjoy golfing, rodeo, four wheeling, mountain biking, horseback riding, and fishing on the Rio Colorado, or "Red River".
