Hunting

Illinois is an exceptionally good place to hunt small game, waterfowl, turkey, and big game such as deer. Public Hunting areas managed by the Department of National Resources, along with privately owned hunt clubs, provide opportunities for thousands of hunters annually.

Hunting licenses are available to residents and nonresidents at most Department offices and through various vendors, such as sporting goods stores and bait shops.
