Located 9 miles southwest of Wells is the beginning of this scenic drive. Turn on State Route 231, a paved two-lane state maintained road. This road has been designated a State Scenic Byway, which winds 12 miles through sagebrush and aspen up to an alpine lake, elevation 8500ft. The campgrounds, as well as Angel Creek are located along this road.
