The city of Fernley lies just south of
Pyramid Lake and east of
Sparks Nevada. The roads that intersect are I-80, State Route 447 and U.S. 95 in the
South Central Region of the state.
Developed as an agricultural and ranching community after the Newslands irrigation project brought water from the Truckee River.
