Southern Nevada Zoo, managed and operated by the Nevada Zoological Foundation, is a zoological-botanical park, exhibiting over 150 species of plants and animals. Its mission is to educate and entertain children and the public about endangered species and habitat protection. The zoo also features exhibits by the Las Vegas gem club and botanical displays of endangered cycads and rare bamboos. Half day or full day desert eco-tours via jeep or bus are arranged.
