The inpatient hospital provides, or arranges to provide, a full range of psychiatric diagnostic and therapeutic services. A full-time medical officer provides day-to-day medical management, however, the agency relies on local community hospitals to provide acute medical, surgical, and neurological care. The average daily census is 52. About 75% of admissions are on emergency certification, 20% are voluntary, and approximately 5% are on a court commitment.
