Royal Links was named one of "Top 10 You Can Play" by Golf Magazine in 1999. Conceived by owner Bill Walters to "reflect the spirit of play in the British Isles." Each hole was inspired by a famous golf hole on a course where the British Open has been played-No. 2 by the par-4 No. 7 at Royal Troon, and No. 10 by the Road Hole at St. Andrews. Rules state, "In normal weather conditions a four-ball round should be played in three and a half hours. At Royal Links a maximum of four and a half hours is allowed." Architect: Perry Dye. 7,029 yards, par 72.
