Shelby American is a boutique manufacturer of high performance sports cars for track and street. The original Shelby Cobra, built in the 1960s, won races and affection with its sleek aerodynamic styling and powerful engine. In 1998, Shelby American opened a new factory after a long dormant period, and have begun to produce small batches of a new Cobra. Factory tours are available, and there is a museum dedicated to the history of the company and its vehicles.
