Armonk is located in
Westchester County just North of
White Plains along Highway 684 near the Connecticut state line. It is in the
Southern Region of the state. Armonk is part of the
New York, New York metro area.
Settled by Quakers in the early 1600s.
Its name comes from the Indian term for "place of beaver". IBM has its headquarters here.
