Auburn is located in Cayuga County 26 miles SW of Syracuse between Fleming and Sennett along Highway 20 near Owasco Lake. It is in the Western Region of the state. Auburn is part of the Syracuse, New York metro area. American historical sites such as Harriet Tubmans and William Seward's home are located in Auburn and some even say Abner Doubleday may have started baseball here.
