Camillus is located in
Onondaga County on the western outskirts of
Syracuse between Elbridge and Fairmont along Highway 5 on the banks of the Ninemile River. It is located in the
Western Region of the state and is part of the
Syracuse, New York metro area.
Camilluls was named after the Roman soldier and statesman and was an early gypsum-mining region.
