Cortland is located in
Cortland County 23 miles NE of Ithaca between Dryden and Homer along Highway 13 near the Labrador Ski Area and in the
Western Region of the state. Home of SUNY at Cortland.
It was named after the prominent Van Cortlandt family and built on the site of a large Indian village.
