Garden City is located in Nassau County just east of Queens on Long Island between Hempstead and New Hyde Park near the Northern State Parkway. It is in the Southern Region of the state. Near Garden City is Roosevelt Field where Charles A. Lindbergh began his historic transatlantic flight. Garden City is part of the Nassau-Suffolk, New York metro area.
