Hancock is located in Delaware County 42 miles SE of Binghamton on the Pennsylvania state line between Long Eddy and Hale Eddy along Highway 97 on the banks of the Delaware River. It was named after John Hancock, signer of the Declaration of Independence. New York City Hall steps feature a 20x20-foot slab of Hancock Bluestone.
