Hudson Highlands State Park, an undeveloped preserve, is a fine fishing and boating area. The park has 25 miles of hiking trails, including mountaintop trails with spectacular views of the Hudson and the Hudson Highland Range.
Take Taconic State Parkway to Route 301, west to Route 9D, 2 miles south of Beacon.
