Hudson River

The Hudson connects upstate New York with New York City. It rises in the Adirondack Park and flows southward. At Troy, it is joined by the Mohawk River; continues south past the state capital of Albany, Poughkeepsie, and empties into New York Bay at the tip of Manhattan.
