Larchmont is located in
Westchester County in southeast
New York between Rye and New Rochelle on Highway 1 in the
Southern Region of the state.
Larchmont is part of the New York, New York metro area.
It was named for the estate of Peter Jay Munro, which was named after the larch tree. It was a 19th-century summer resort for wealthy New Yorkers and the filming location for 1998 movie, "Stepmom".
