6,400 acres of protected lands, under a private non-profit organization's oversight and maintained by a staff of volunteers some 300 strong. The preserve is open to visitors for a nominal admission fee, 365 days a year, sunrise to sunset. Sheer cliffs, waterfalls, rock outcroppings, old-growth hemlock forests and ravines.
