The mission of the non-profit organization Old Songs, Inc., based in the Albany-suburb of Guilderland, is the preservation of traditional music and dance. Since its incorporation in 1977, Old Songs has met this mission by presenting concerts, danc es, instrument classes, and the annual Old Songs Festival of Traditional Music and Dance. These programs reach more than 12,000 people each year, inspiring them, it is hoped, to incorporate music or dance or storytelling into their lives.
