Oquaga Creek State Park is just 3 hours from New York City and New Jersey, which makes its beach facilities and forested campsites the perfect summer escape. The 55-acre Arctic Lake has a sand beach for swimmers, and anglers can fish for black bass, bullheads and rainbow trout. The rolling, wooded hills are ideal for winter sledding. Winter visitors can also ice skate or ice fish on the frozen lake and snowshoers and cross-country skiers can explore six miles of trails. If you like to camp, 95 sites are available.
