Plattsburgh

Plattsburgh is located in Clinton County 159 miles north of Albany along Highway 3 off I87 near Cumberland Bay State Park and Plattsburg Air Force Base in Northern Region of the state.

It was named for Zephaniah Platt a landowner and fur trader. Plattsburgh is the site of major fighting, on land and water, during the War of 1812.
