The Sport Fishing Education Center is used as a focal point in the Metropolitan New York area to develop the conservation of marine resources and angling ethics. One of the major goals of the center is to promote fishing to a diverse population who may not otherwise have the opportunity to explore the sport. It features Fishing Pier, Aquaculture Center, Conference Center, Museum, and Library. It offers a number of activities to the public such as School Field Trip, Scout Programs, and Special Events.
