Scarsdale New York

Scarsdale is located in Westchester County in southeast New York between New York City and White Plains on Highway 22 in the Southern Region of the state.

Scarsdale is part of the New York, New York metro area.

Named after the Manor of Scarsdale, established by Caleb Heathcote, who came from Scarsdale, Derbyshire, England. Sir William Howe, a British general, set up headquarters here during the Revolutionary War.
