Smithtown

Smithtown is located in Suffolk County north of Central Islip on Long Island along Highway 454 in the Southern Region of the state. Smithtown is part of the Nassau-Suffolk, New York metro area.

It was named after Richard "Bull" Smith (or Smythe), who settled here after being banished from Southampton.
