A military museum is on the site of the Americans' raid on the former British stronghold by Brigadier General Anthony Wayne on July 16, 1779. It features Revolutionary War equipment and artifacts as well as an 1826 lighthouse, an outdoor walking tour and picnic areas. The site is open mid-April through October, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wed-Sat and 1-5 p.m. Sun. Admission free. Costumed interpreters demonstrate muskets, artillery, cooking and the day-to-day tasks of camp life.
