Founded in 1957, this is a public institution offering degree programs in arts and sciences, engineering and applied sciences, nursing, health technology and management and social welfare. The 1100 acre campus is in a suburban area on Long Island, 60 miles from New York City. Including residence halls there are 113 buildings.
