Incorporated in 1937, the Scarsdale Chamber of Commerce has been organized to develop and foster the commercial and civic activities of the village through the efforts of merchants, service providers, and professional members; to promote goodwill between the residents and this diverse business community, and to liaison with the village government on issues of common concern. It sponsors several events, organizes a merchant summer sidewalk sale, operates an information and referral service to answer inquiries from the public and its own membership, and holds business and social meetings for networking and for sharing problems and solutions.
